Depending on the scope of the work, we either do all the work ourselves, or, do some of the work, and, also coordinate the work of trusted partners that we’ve had long professional relationships with, i.e. photographers, graphic artists, software developers, etc, as we work towards completion of the job. Either way, a senior person will always be around and always overseeing the work. You can count on always having the same “someone” to talk to and check in with regarding progress.
If there is something we (and our work team) can’t do, we’ll tell you right away, and not only that, will do our best to point you in the right direction towards someone who can get that done. An example of this would be if you wanted a consumer lending site built. Now, Brendan Moore developed what was probably the very first consumer lending site built with full credit decisioning functionality, way back in 1994 (if you can imagine, back in the days of Prodigy and AOL and Netscape), and it worked like a charm. But the internet was in it’s very nascent stages then, and what we built was very crude compared to the technology available today, and so we wouldn’t take that on now – it’s a project for a bigger shop. Same goes if you’re going to have a site built on a Shopify platform with, say, 83o SKU items for sale. We wouldn’t try to “just muddle through” that.
Same goes if you wanted a television commercial that was going to air during the Super Bowl. We’d pass on that. We only do work that we know we can do well with the resources we have and bring in on time.
The list above is the work we currently solicit through Crescent Group Consulting; however, our principals have had long and varied careers, and we have expertise in other areas like technology, process reengineering, commercial and consumer
lending, professional services firms, retail shops, etc. We will call upon that experience and those competencies if and when mour existing clients need it, but as mentioned, it is merely a supplement to the work we would be doing for a client. Simply put, the scope of our aggregate experience has been sometimes helpful to small business owners in certain client engagements in the past, and that is the reason its noted here.
If you have questions or need clarification, email us. Or, you can even call us at 313-444-8925. We still talk on the phone to people, despite more and people seeming to prefer texts or Skype messaging (the prospect of actually talking to someone real-time seems to produce a lot of anxiety in people these days), and here’s a bonus – the first conversation is always free. You just can’t beat that.
